Greg McCunn – MBA, P.Eng
Position: CEO / Director
Mr. McCunn is a mining executive with 25 years of executive and management experience in finance, operations, project engineering, project construction and corporate development. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Asanko Gold, where over his six-year tenure he oversaw the transition of the company from exploration and development to a mid-tier gold producer. Prior to Asanko, Mr. McCunn spent four years as the CFO of Farallon Mining during which time the company financed, constructed and operated the G-9 mine in Guerrero, Mexico which is proximal to Timmins’ Ana Paula project. Farallon was acquired by Nyrstar in early 2011. Prior to his roles as a finance executive, Greg’s background includes technical, operational and corporate development roles with Teck, Placer Dome and junior mining companies in Canada and Australia. He is a Professional Engineer and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Metallurgical Engineering.
Arturo Bonillas, P. Eng.
Position: President
Mr. Bonillas is the President and co-founder of Timmins Gold. His knowledge of mining in Mexico has been essential to the Company’s success. As President he has built the production and exploration teams in Mexico and guided the Company to consistent annual increases in reserve and resource growth, throughput and production. The Mexican team led by Mr. Bonillas has an impeccable track record in relationships with the local communities which was obtained in his more than 34 years of experience in the mining and exploration industry in Mexico. He has held positions ranging from mine planning engineer, operations research engineer, chief of financial planning and Vice President of purchasing for Compania Minera de Cananea, and later for a subsidiary of Placer Dome in Mexico. He directed full bankable feasibility studies for the Mulatos gold project in Sonora, and the San Felipe gold project in Baja California.
Mr. Bonillas holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona (1980). His extensive network of contacts and thorough understanding of the Mexican mining industry have enhanced the Board’s understanding of operations and local issues. Mr. Bonillas is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Taj Singh, M.Eng, P.Eng, CPA
Position: VP Engineering, Projects & Business Development
Mr. Singh is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA), and has 15 years of experience in the mineral sector. With Timmins, Singh is responsible for providing strategic engineering oversight at the Company's existing operations, managing the development of the Company's projects, and for overseeing evaluations on external assets. Prior to joining Timmins, Singh was Vice President and Mining Equity Research Analyst at Macquarie Capital Markets in Toronto. Mr. Singh also has a decade of experience working in various operations, engineering and project development roles for Inco Limited and CVRD/Vale. He received a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Metallurgy) from the Univerity of Toronto and a Master of Engineering Degree from McMaster University (Metallurgy).
Miguel Soto B.Eng. Geo
Position: VP Exploration
Mr. Soto is a highly regarded Mexican geological professional. He has held various positions in the Mexican mineral industry since 1979. The Timmins Gold exploration team under the supervision of Mr. Soto has more than tripled the resources and reserves at the San Francisco mine over the last three years (net of depletion) and significantly increased inferred resources. He has a strong background as a mine geologist and in prospecting and exploration activities as well as the development of full feasibility studies. He has held field and management positions with major Mexican mining companies such as Peñoles, Luismin, Minera Real de Angeles and the Frisco Group. He was part of the exploration team at the Mulatos and San Felipe Projects in Sonora and Baja respectively in the late 80's and early 90's, as well as the Asientos Mining District in the state of Aguascalientes which resulted in the current polymetallic underground mines of Santa Francisca and El Porvenir and of the El Porvenir gold open pit. He joined Timmins in 2005 as Director and COO. In 2010, he was appointed VP of Exploration to oversee all prospecting and exploration activities in Mexico.
Mr. Soto holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico and is a member of the Society of Economic Geologists in the USA.
Mr. Soto brings to the Board his extensive experience in the Mexican mining industry along with a thorough understanding of economic geology and quality control. Mr. Soto is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Miguel Bonilla, CPA
Position: Vice President Finance (Mexico)
Miguel Bonilla is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive audit, accounting, consulting and internal control experience from having practiced accounting and audit for companies of different sectors including mining industry. Prior to his appointment of Timmins Gold Controller in 2005 he was Moore Stephens Sonora Office audit manager and independent consultant. He has been involved in all the financial activities since the Company incorporation and has participated in the operation, regulations and legal activities. He also has been involved in the financial management role for other companies of the mining sector. In 2009 was appointed Vice President Finance Mexico.
Leslie L. Kapusianyk, LLB.
Position: Corporate Secretary
Leslie Kapusianyk is a lawyer with over 25 years experience in the areas of securities, corporate finance and corporate law. Prior to joining Timmins Gold in 2007, Ms. Kapusianyk advised clients, particularly in the mining industry, on initial and subsequent public offerings, stock exchange listings, reverse takeovers, continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance, corporate structuring and re-structuring and ongoing public company compliance.
Bryan Coates, B.Com, CPA, CA
Position: Chairman / Independent Director
Mr. Coates has spent 30 years in the mining industry. He was most recently the Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Osisko Mining Corp. from 2007 until it was acquired in 2014 for $3.9 billion. Osisko developed and operated the Canadian Malartic gold mine, the largest such mine in Quebec, and also conducted exploration work in Mexico. Prior to Osisko, Mr. Coates served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for IAMGOLD Corp. and Cambior Inc. and has previously sat on the board of directors of various mining companies.

Mark Backens, B.Sc.
Position: Director
Mr. Backens has over 30 years of global mining experience including most recently as Director of Investment Banking – Mining for Scotia Capital. For most of his career, Mr. Backens had senior management roles with Meridian Gold, Placer Dome and Goldcorp in the areas of engineering, mine construction, mine management and corporate development. Mr. Backens holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and is a Professional Geologist.
George Brack, MBA, CFA, B.A.Sc., Geological Engineering
Position: Independent Director
George Brack's 29-year career in the mining industry working in investment banking and corporate development has focused on the identification, evaluation and execution of strategic mergers and acquisitions and the provision of equity financing.
George is Chairman of Alexco and a director of Silver Wheaton, Newstrike and Geologix. He was recently Managing Director and Industry Head, Mining Group of Scotia Capital. Prior to joining Scotia Capital in 2006, he served seven years as President of Macquarie North America Ltd., an investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions advice to the global mining industry. Previously, he held the position of Vice President, Corporate Development at Placer Dome Inc., worked for CIBC Wood Gundy, where he was a Vice President of the Investment Banking Group and worked in Rio Algom's corporate development department.
George started his career as an exploration geologist with Sherritt-Gordon Mines. George holds an MBA from York University, a BASc in Geological Engineering from the University of Toronto and the CFA designation. He serves as a director of Alexco Resource Corp. (and is a member of the audit committee and the compensation committee).
Anthony Hawkshaw, BA, CA
Position: Independent Director
Mr. Hawkshaw has more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry in countries including Canada, the United States, Mexico, Russia and Peru and is a former director, Chief Financial Officer and founding shareholder of Rio Alto Mining Ltd. Prior to joining Rio Alto, Mr. Hawskshaw was the Chief Financial Officer of Pan American Silver Corp. and Chariot Resources Ltd. He has also served as Chairman of the audit committee of Caza Gold Corp.
Stephen Lang, M.Sc. M.Eng, Mining Engineering.
Position: Independent Director
Mr. Lang has over 32 years of experience in the mining industry. He served as President and CEO of Centerra Gold Inc. from 2008 to 2012, having joined Centerra in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer. Between 2003 and 2007, Mr. Lang served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Stillwater Mining Company. Prior to joining Stillwater, he was employed with Barrick Gold Corporation as Vice President and General Manager of Barrick Gold's Goldstrike/Meikle operation from 2001 to 2003. Prior to this he served as Vice President of Engineering and Project Development of Rio Algom, Limited in Santiago, Chile from 1999 to 2001. From 1996 to 1999, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Kinross Gold Corporation/Amax Gold Corporation's Fort Knox Mine in Fairbanks, Alaska. From 1981 to 1996, he held various positions with Santa Fe Pacific Gold Minerals Corporation, including General Manager of the Twin Creeks Mine in Golconda, Nevada.
Paula Rogers, CPA, CA
Position: Independent Director
Ms. Rogers is a Chartered Professional Accountant and brings over 20 years of experience working for Canadian-based international public companies in the areas of corporate governance, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting and tax. She has significant experience in the mining industry ranging from greenfields exploration to senior gold producer in both director and officer roles. Ms. Rogers was recently the Chief Financial Officer of Castle Peak Mining Ltd. She has served as an officer of other public companies including Vice-President, Treasurer of Goldcorp Inc., Treasurer of Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. and Treasurer of Silver Wheaton Corp. Previously, she held various senior management roles at Finning International Inc. including Tax Manager, Corporate Reporting Manager and Assistant Treasurer. She is currently a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Diversified Royalty Corp. and NeutriSci International Inc.
Ms. Rogers is a member of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee.
Ms. Rogers obtained her Chartered Accountant designation and completed her articling at Deloitte Canada in 1993. Ms. Rogers' strong background in transactions and finance have been valuable to the Board and management.
Jose Vizquerra Benavides, MSc, CPG
Position: Independent Director
Mr. Vizquerra is currently the President, CEO and director of Oban Mining company a TSX listed company.
From 2008 until 2011 Mr. Vizquerra was the head of project evaluations with NYSE listed Compania de Minas Buenaventura of Lima, Peru, and a geologist with Goldcorp in Red Lake Ontario from 2005 until 2008.
Mr. Vizquerra holds a masters of Science degree in Mineral Exploration from Queen's University and a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the Peruvian University of Applied Science (UPC).
Mr Vizquerra is a Certified Professional Geologist from the AIPG (american institute of professional geologists).
Mr.Vizquerra is a member of the Compensation Committee and Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee.
Mr. Vizquerra's experience in operations, geology and corporate development provide a direct benefit to the Board. Mr. Vizquerra is fluent in both Spanish and English.
